Author Visit 📖
Years 7 and 8 had a brilliant visit from award-winning author Nathanael Lessore this week. After an inspiring talk in the theatre, pupils got the chance to meet him at a book signing.
Nathanael shared his journey from reluctant reader to celebrated writer, with novels like Steady For This and King of Nothing winning major awards. He spoke about celebrating diverse characters, offered creative writing tips, and showed pupils the many opportunities open to writers in sport, music, TV, gaming and more.
Funny stories, inspiring advice, and a visit our pupils won’t forget.

A great start to the hockey and football season despite some very wet weather!
Our U10A girls showed real determination at Ardingly before flooding cut the tournament short, while the Colts B Team impressed with resilience and sportsmanship to finish joint winners at Hilden Grange. The 2nd and 3rd Team hockey girls claimed victories against Sevenoaks, and the 1st and 2nd X1 football sides secured wins over Claremont.
At Somerhill, our U11C, U11D and U10C teams all reached the semi-finals, with the U10B side joint winners after a nail-biting final and the U10D team finishing runners up.
An excellent week of teamwork, determination and spirit across all age groups.
