Holmewood House prep school in Tunbridge Wells is very much a family school where the positive relationships between the teachers and pupils allows us to get to know and understand the individual needs of each and every child.
We foster their talents and nurture their growth through a broad, balanced, challenging and exciting curriculum and, in doing so, create an environment whereby each child is provided with every opportunity to fulfil their potential. We believe that emotional and social well-being, self-esteem, happiness and confidence are of prime importance and are in themselves inextricably linked to academic progress.
We would be delighted to hear from you and invite you to contact us for any queries you may have. You can reach us on 01892 860000, via email at admissions@holmewoodhouse.co.uk or by filling out this contact form to request a call back.
🎭 Creative Performance Workshop 🎶
Huge thanks to musical theatre and opera star Stuart Pendred, who worked with 25 talented singers — including solo performers — to deliver a rousing semi-staged rendition of “At the End of the Day” from Les Misérables, to an excited audience of parents and staff.
Later that evening, Stuart wowed us with famous operatic numbers and musical theatre showstoppers, accompanied by the brilliant Caroline Clipsham, whose virtuosic piano performance was simply dazzling.

Mental Health Awareness Week
To observe Mental Health Awareness Week a series of communal events were held during lunch breaks:
Monday: pitch up picnic
Tuesday: daisy chain chums
Wednesday: relax and read al fresco
Thursday: bird song-along
Friday: Holmewoodville (a chance to contribute to the making of a special community)
The intention was to celebrate the importance and power of the theme ‘community’ and promote working together as a team, socialising and communicating to build connections with others.
Research has proven that spending time in nature can help promote good mental health, so the activities were designed as a perfect opportunity to enjoy and engage with the stunning school grounds. How lucky we were to have the perfect weather for it too!
