Holmewood House prep school in Tunbridge Wells is very much a family school where the positive relationships between the teachers and pupils allows us to get to know and understand the individual needs of each and every child.

Holmewood House is a co-educational, non-selective school for boys and girls aged 3-13 years, situated in 30 acres of glorious grounds in Tunbridge Wells.

At the end of last term, Year 6 had been busy putting their learning into action. In geography they visited the Year 3 and 4 corridor to share their brilliant weather-hazard presentations, adapting their language and resources so the younger pupils could enjoy floods, hurricanes, droughts, tornadoes and heatwaves brought to life through videos animations and quizzes. In maths, Mrs Bennett’s class took on the challenge of teaching divisibility rules to Year 5, transforming a tricky topic into songs, quizzes, presentations and even fortune tellers. From heartfelt performances to original songs written entirely by the children themselves, the evening showcased the incredible creativity and confidence that thrives in our school. It was inspiring to see such a vast array of talent on display musicians, singers, and performers all sharing taking stage in front of a very busy audience. These moments remind us just how special our school is, and how much our pupils have to offer. A huge thank you to all the staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event possible. Your dedication and support ensured that every child had the chance to participate and feel proud of their achievements. The Swim School holds classes for children of all abilities and is open to Holmewood pupils as well as the wider community and takes places after the Holmewood school day has finished and on a Saturday morning.
Holmewood House School has been running holiday courses since 1998. We aim to offer a wide variety of courses for children aged 5-12 in a secure and relaxed environment.

The chaperone service that Holmewood House offers has meant that our son has been able to access the best of both worlds, a country boarding school during the week where he can enjoy the space and facilities which are very hard to come by in London and then is able to come home every Friday to enjoy a full weekend with family. It is extremely convenient to be able to pick him up & drop off from central London & is workable on top of the other commitments I have! He looks forward to his trips on the train where he gets any unfinished homework done and then is able to relax at home
