Discoverers & AdventurersAge 5 - 6 Years & Age 7+ Years

Come rain or shine have fun in the outdoors. Activities can include building dens, camps and fires. Come prepared for all weathers i.e wellies, raincoats and hats but hopefully suntan lotion.

Bake & TakeAge 7+ Years

Bake a delicious treat and then prepare a further delicious treat to take home and bake that afternoon/evening. Please bring a tin/box to transport your baked items home in. A suitable container will be provided to take the items to bake at home in

BalanceabilityReception, Y1 & Y2

Balanceability is a learn to cycle programme aimed at children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 who cannot yet ride a pedal bike without stabilisers. It focuses on movement patterns, gross motor skills and dynamic balance using a balance bike. Children learn how to pick up, manoeuvre, mount and dismount their bikes and then learn the skills to ride a balance bike safely. Once the basics have been mastered, the sessions will focus on improving the children’s gliding, stopping and braking skills preparing them to then ride a pedal bike.

Bikeability 1Age 7 - 9 Years

This fun off road course develops your child’s bike control skills and confidence through cycle games and activities. Children also learn to use their gears efficiently, share space with other riders and develop signalling skills in preparation for Bikeability 2 if they wish to do this course in year 6. All children receive a certificate of participation at the end of the course and their Bikeability 1 badge on achievement of all the skills.

Bikeability 2Age 10 Years +

This cycle proficiency road course develops your child’s skills for making independent journeys confidently and safely in low to medium traffic areas. The children cycle to each training site which enables them to learn safe cycling in a group, practise using their gears effectively and reinforce their new road skills. All children receive a certificate of participation at the end of the course and their Bikeability 2 badge if all course outcomes are met.

Ceramic PaintingAge 8 Years+

Fun, creative and relaxing. The children will be taught different pottery painting techniques by Leanne of Peachy Pottery. They will paint on a different piece of pottery each day; ending with a final large masterpiece where they can show off everything they have learned. Once all of their pieces of pottery have been fired in the kiln and delivered back to school, you will be able to collect them.

CookeryAge 7 Years+

This course is always a hit with budding bakers and keen cooks who manage to produce a scrumptious array of sweet and savoury tea-time treats.  There is always great demand for places so it’s a good idea to check availability.  Long hair should be tied back and a tin or box is required for transporting baked goods.

CraftAge 5 - 7 Years

This is a great course for younger children who want to develop their creative talents. Paper, card, buttons, beads, fabric, felt, paint will all be used to produce a wonderful array of original designs.

Cricket5 - 7 Years & 8+ Years

All elements of the game will be taught.  Batting, bowling, wicket keeping and fielding drills will help develop basic skills.  Small games, net sessions and group work.

Chocolate Making5 - 7 Years & 8+ Years

Become a Chocolatier with Temper Temper. Each day will cover a new technique making delicious creations such as lollies, Florentines, fresh cream truffles and maybe a few Easter treats too! The children will also learn the history of chocolate, bean to bar, fairtrade and learn how to do a chocolate tasting like a professional

Football5 - 7 Years & 8+ Years

Participants will be put through their paces by our experienced coaches, including Andy Waterman in week 2, practising a range of drills to develop skills in control, dribbling, passing, shooting, goal-keeping and tactical awareness. Football boots if your child wishes, but trainers will suffice as there should be little give in the playing surface, shin pads and a bottle of water are required for this course. Please consider the weather conditions and provide your child with sun block/rain proof jacket.

Gymnastics5 - 7 Years & 8+ Years

This course is for boys and girls from beginners to intermediate levels.  Children learn basic floor skills, incorporating co-ordination skills to enhance body control, balance and rolling moves.  Rebounding skills will be taught, enabling children to use the vault.

Les Mills Born To Move5 - 7 Years

An imaginative, exploitative world of storytelling, music and movement is used to immerse little ones in a world of active play. They also get to unleash energy, gain confidence and develop new abilities.

Les Mills Born To Move 7 - 9 Years

A world of playful movement, music and games. Kids get to learn new moves and build skills that will leave them feeling motivated.

Mini Easter Antics5 - 7 Years

Keep the kids entertained with gymnastics, dance, balls skills, team building and an Easter egg hunt.

Model MakingAge 8 + Years

The Spitfire, a true aviation legend! Spend the 2 days creating an accurate plastic scale model of this most iconic fighter aeroplane. Day 1. Spitfire construction pt 1 Day 2. Spitfire construction pt 2 and finishing If you attended this course last year, please speak with Mrs Masterson upon booking. This course will require the use of small parts and sharp tools, so a degree of dexterity and maturity is required.

Multi Activities6 - 8 Years & 9 - 11 Years

Always a popular course with a range of sports, games and activities. Children will discover new skills as they play include hockey, rounders, basketball and fitness circuits.

Musical Theatre (Aladdin)Age 6+ Years

Bring this west end hit musical to life, singing and dancing to the songs we all know and love – whether you see yourself as a prince, princess, or magical genie, there will be something for everyone! At the end of the week, we will put on a mini show offering family members the chance to watch the last 15 minutes of the class on the final day (15:45 for afternoon sessions).

You already know all the words to the smash hit film, so why not perform them on stage? At the end of the week, we will put on a mini show offering family members the chance to watch the last 15 minutes of the class on the final day (15:45 for afternoon sessions).

Principles of FlightAge 8 + Years

Ever wondered what makes an aeroplane fly? Or what keeps a helicopter up? Come and experience a world of flight and learn how aeroplanes work. Each day you will experiment with different types of aircraft and understand how they fly!

Day 1. Gliders

Day 2. Rubber powered aircraft and helicopters This course will require the use of small parts and sharp tools, so a degree of dexterity and maturity is required.

Sugarcraft - Easter Bunny Cake Topper (3 sessions) & Easter Cupcake Decorating (1 session)Age 9 Years+

The children will learn all the necessary skills required to make a large Easter Bunny complete with a basket of eggs. The bunny and basket will be displayed on a board that will be iced by the children and decorated with spring flowers. In addition, the children will be provided with 4 cupcakes which they will decorate as an Easter bunny, Easter bonnet, a hatching chick and a basket of flowers.

Sugarcraft - The Lego Movie CakeAge 9 + Years

The children will use various modelling techniques in order to produce a variety of familiar LEGO movie mini figures from sugar paste, which will be on top of a LEGO piece shaped cake

SwimmingAge 4.5+ Years

See separate swim levels and programme details. We offer you the chance to see how your child has progressed during their swim course by allowing you to come and watch them on their final day. Please bring your child to their lesson as normal and then remain in the Jubilee Theatre. This allows them enough time to get changed and into the pool. Claire Masterson will take you across at 10:10 (for morning sessions) or 13:40 (for afternoon sessions) and you can watch them for the first 15 minutes of their lesson.

TennisAge 5 - 7 Years & 8+ Years

The school’s four all-weather courts make it possible to provide instruction to children of different abilities. Players are grouped according to age and ability, and instruction with a qualified coach will cover all aspects of the game.

WoodworkAge 9+ Years

Sawing, Sanding, Drilling and Gluing. The children will enjoy pure woodwork. No curriculum, just fun.
