Boots 2 Africa – Record Donation from Holmewood House

What a fabulous day we had on the second Monday of half term, when it was such a privilege and pleasure to welcome back to the school grounds, Iain Finch – co-founder of the amazing charity Boots2Africa and, of course, Mr. Daniel Osborne and Old Holmewoodian Charles Osborne, who initiated the contact some two years ago. I am so thrilled to announce that Holmewood House contributed 253 pairs of football/rugby/hockey boots and trainers, which are bound for Lungi Rangers FC, based near Freetown in Sierra Leone, where I know they will get great use and who knows hopefully produce future players in African leagues, over in Europe and representing their country at international level. We were informed that our donation this years is a record for a single ever donation from a school. Well done everyone! Thank you so much to all the all the wonderfully thoughtful and generous Holmewood families who have contributed to this great cause. We will be running a further opportunity to contribute, towards the end of academic year.

Thank you all once again for your fabulous support.

Mr P Morgan-Jones.
