Year 5 6.6.25

Geography

The Year 5 have been exploring tribes in the Amazon rainforest.  Their task was to find out where their chosen tribe is located in the Amazon, how they have adapted to living in the environment and some interesting facts about their food and culture. They then had to create a poster using Canva or Power Point.  The pupils have been teaching me about Canva on along the way; I now know how to add music and format text boxes! They are all going to talk about their tribe and show their creative skills to the class. Well done to all the pupils – some really fantastic work. Katie Seecharan

Art – Measured Drawing / Still Life

Measured drawing is a fantastic skill to learn. The Year 5s were taught to hold a pencil at arm’s length and to use it to visually measure the height and width of the objects in the Still Life to achieve an accurate sense of the proportions. They did some lovely drawings. Tom Johnson / Keith Siddle
