Trip to Sevenoaks Wildlife Centre
We had a fantastic day at Sevenoaks Wildlife Centre! The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the world of minibeasts, using net sweepers to carefully capture and observe a variety of fascinating insects.
One of the highlights of the day was learning how to start a fire using flint and steel. Many children successfully created sparks and even managed to ignite cotton wool on their own a wonderful achievement that filled them with pride ! The children also showed brilliant teamwork as they built dens, moved logs, and went on a minibeast hunt. They discovered so many creatures including butterflies, beetles, ants, and worms, centipedes, woodlice, snail, caterpillars a particularly special moment was watching a blue tit feeding its young , a lovely reminder of the beauty of nature all around us.
Photos to follow next week!
