This week, Year 2 have been busy preparing for our VE Day celebrations! In art, the children created colourful bunting, peace doves, and handmade medals. In English, they wrote thoughtful celebration poems, linking to our current poetry unit. Over at Forest School, they enjoyed playing games and roasting marshmallows around the fire — lots of memories made we hope. Year 2 team
➗ Today we marked National Numeracy Day with a range of engaging maths activities in Pre-Prep. 🟰
Year 1 and 2 pupils worked in mixed groups and took part in a carousel of hands-on challenges, including a place value egg hunt, scoring games with hoops and beanbags, a higher-lower number game, a tower building task, and activities estimating weight and capacity.
Well done to all the children for approaching each task with focus, teamwork, and enthusiasm. A great way to celebrate the importance of numeracy in everyday learning.
