Happy Mental Health Week.

Our assembly this morning focussed on mental health week. Mrs Spoor, Head of Pastoral at Holmewood talked to the children about mental health. She was asking the children about what ‘filled their bucket’ in terms of well-being and happiness. Children were given balls and were delighted to throw them into the bucket, (in particular when a successful throw made it into the bucket) citing things that made them feel happy and good in life. For one, it was something delicious to eat; for another it was playing sport. Mrs Spoor also explored how one could relate to others in terms of kindness and looked at ways in which you could make someone else feel better and happier.  All in all, a lovely way to start off the last week before half term on a feel-good note.
