Good Morning Performing

Last week’s first Good Morning Performing of the term saw Vincent, Leon and Xavi on piano, Anne on clarinet, Leo on violin and Ollie giving an epic performance of Wonderwall singing and playing guitar!

Vincent opened the first Good Morning Performing with a beautiful pianistic rendition of “All of me”, followed by some mellow clarinet playing by Anne, an epic performance of Wonderwall by Ollie who sang and played guitar, some lovely classical piano by Xavi and Leon with some virtuosic violin from Leo to finish the concert. Introducing Ben Whitcher

To meet the growing demand for drum lessons we now have an additional teacher for drums and percussion. Mr Whitcher will be available to teach drumkit and orchestral percussion. The multi talented Mr Whitcher also teaches brass and is one of our amazing Exploring Instruments teachers.

‘Ben has been teaching for just over 10 years now as a multi instrumentalist on all things Percussion and Brass. His musical journey began at the age of 7 when he first started lessons. This eventually led to him studying at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance for his undergraduate degree. Ben supplements his teaching career with a full gigging schedule as well. He has played in some of the country’s most prestigious venues, including: The Royal Albert Hall, The Palladium, The Royal Festival Hall and Glastonbury Festival. This has led to him playing with many famous artists around the world, most recently with Ed Sheeran.

Ben is delighted to be working at the Holmewood House School and thanks all the staff for the warm welcome he has received since starting.’
