Reception

This week has been another action-packed week in RKS. We have continued with our topic of Animals and have learnt all about Birds. We have looked at the characteristics, the different parts of a bird and discussed why a bird has certain features eg: sharp talons, a long beak etc…  The children have loved learning about birds and did an amazing job at drawing their own bird, which they then decorated by collaging using different materials. Mrs Moore and I were super impressed by how the children all tried very hard to capture the details of the bird that they had chosen.

The highlight of the week though had to be the ‘Jaws and Claws’ workshop. The children loved meeting Phil and all his amazing animal friends including: Ryan the bearded dragon, Winnie and Lola the tortoises to name a few. Brenda Bates
