Wakehurst Place
This week, Year 2 had an exciting visit to Wakehurst Place, where we engaged in a range of creative and educational activities linked to our science topic. We began by drawing inspiration from the works of Andy Goldsworthy to create beautiful art using natural materials, collaborating in teams to craft unique masterpieces. The children also had the opportunity to learn about plant biology by potting sunflower seeds, gaining insights into the different parts of a plant. We were incredibly fortunate with the weather, which allowed us to enjoy a refreshing well-being walk, using our five senses to explore the stunning gardens. It was a delightful and enriching experience that deepened our appreciation for nature. Year 2 Team
