Maths Success

On Monday 3^rd March, Holmewood House took a Year 5 team consisting of Leo Zhou, Ben Brooks-Layton, George Craze and William Hunt to Mayfield to compete in a Maths competition. The boys took part in four different rounds and were up against 16 teams from different schools which is historically the most teams that have competed. The boys showed brilliant teamwork and emerged victorious, taking home the gold medal. They should be incredibly proud of themselves and how they represented the school. Andrew Flett

Year 5 PP have been lucky to be selected to take part in a penfriend exchange with a primary school in Marseille, in the south of France. Each nation writes in their own language and practise reading skill when receiving the letters. Madame BassGualbert

🎆 The Friends of Holmewood Fireworks Night 🎇

What an incredible evening! Fireworks Night is always such a fun event when families, staff and old Holmewoodians come together, and the atmosphere this year was fantastic. Our boarding house was buzzing with excited children, and the glow stick stall was mobbed!

Huge thanks to all our volunteers, especially the Friends of Holmewood for organising another wonderful event. We’re already looking forward to the Christmas Fair on 29 November.

Thank you too to our fantastic vendors @larrattbutcherstw @eridgedairy @julietscafe and @pizzacucinavans (fish and chips) for keeping everyone well-fed and happy.

Holmewood’s Head Boy and Head Girl accompanied Senior Housemaster, Mr Morgan-Jones, to the Remembrance Service in Tunbridge Wells this morning. Both pupils placed Royal British Legion wreaths at the War Memorial on behalf of the whole school community - Governors, parents, teachers and pupils. It was a very moving and poignant service, and lovely to see so many Holmewood families, past and present, gathered for this special occasion.
