There was a lot of excitement last week when the snow came!
In art we have learnt about Dutch artist Piet Mondrain. Learning how he liked to paint using simple lines, right angles and blocks of primary colours. Rose Lee
This week we enjoyed going for a spring walk looking for signs of spring. Rose Lee
2CT were lucky enough to have George bring in a metal detector to share with the class. The children were fascinated as they learned how the metal detector works and had the opportunity to see it in action. This activity sparked curiosity and encouraged teamwork as they searched for hidden treasures together. Catherine Thorley
2CT delved into a range of imaginative stories, including Not Now, Bernard and It’s a Secret. These stories sparked our creativity as we investigated unusual creatures in household settings. The children thoroughly enjoyed the stories and worked on developing their descriptive language skills by creating noun phrases to describe the characters. Catherine Thorley
Our focus in Maths has been on money. The children explored the different types of money we use, practiced making specific amounts of money, and compared various amounts. These hands-on activities helped the class gain a better understanding of the value of money and how it is used in real-life situations. Catherine Thorley
