Festive fun…
Where to begin! Firstly, we would like to say a big thank you to our Holmewood families for coming to watch our Nativity production of “We Three Kings”. We are so proud of your amazing children’s achievements, it was a joy to be a part of their journey from rehearsal to performance, watching their self-confidence grow every week. They sang their hearts out, joined in with the actions and most importantly, had a whale of a time along the way. This certainly put us in merry spirits, which continued when we were invited to watch the KS1 Christmas shindig. It was lovely to see the little ones waving at their siblings and looking up to the older children. The fun did not stop there! Father Christmas came to visit and gifted us a wonderful new farm set, which we look forward to playing with in the new year. Rudolph sent us on a hunt around the grounds in search of his reindeer friends and Mrs O’ Sullivan came to read us a selection of Christmas stories. If you ask the children, the best part of their week was the Christmas lunch and jumper day!
They’re behind you!
To round up a truly magnificent term, we conclude 2024 with our shooting stars pantomime. If your child is coming in for an additional day, or if you are bringing them along only for the pantomime, please meet the team down in Nursery by 9.00am We will then meet you back in Nursery by 10.30am after the show.
What are we working on?
Throughout each term both Pre- Nursery and Nursery enjoy taking on new tasks and challenges within their learning and development. In the new year Pre- Nursery will be focussing on how to use their cutlery in the dining hall, and Nursery how to dry and dress properly after swimming and forest school. Any home support with this will be hugely appreciated.
End of term…
Please not term ends for the Christmas holidays on Wednesday 11th December. The collection time for Pre- Nursery and Nursery children is 11.40am from Nursery. Please note, if you have an older child taking part in the carol service, we will hold on to your child a little longer to allow some time for you to safely reach us. We envision this will be no later than 12.15pm, as the carol service is due to finish by 11.45am. Thank you for your co-operation with this.
