Our busy week in Nursery…
As our days are filled with the hustle and bustle of specialist lessons and termly events, we feel it is important for the children to have the opportunity and freedom to fully explore and discover in our Nursery classrooms. This week it has been lovely to observe them fully engaged in small world play with transport, role-play people and places. Some of the children created a gold mine and designed pickers to collect the gold for their teachers, result! Alongside making intricate and creative models, they used their imaginations to combine the construction materials with natural resources such as pinecones, wood slices, and bamboo connectors to make scenes.
Chilly times ahead…
In the garden we talked about the Winter weather and the changes it will bring. We spoke about the importance of keeping warm by wearing hats, gloves, and scarves and coats and shared stories such as “One Winters Day” and “When will it snow?”. Please can we kindly ask for the children to bring named, Winter weather gear with them from next week.
