Course Descriptions & Timetables

BALL SKILLS

This gets the children involved in a wide range of sports and activities from dodgeball to rounders, tag rugby to basketball and everything in-between! The sessions may give the children a chance to try a sport or activity that they might not have considered before and develop the fundamental skills of throwing, catching, running and jumping.

CRAFT CLUB

This is a great course for children who want to develop their creative talents.  Many resources will be used to produce a wonderful array of craft.

FOOTBALL

Participants will be put through their paces by our experienced coaches from EMC Academy, practicing a range of drills to develop skills in control, dribbling, passing, shooting, goal-keeping and tactical awareness. Football boots can be worn if your child wishes, but trainers will suffice if there is a little give in the playing surface. Shin pads and a bottle of water are required for this course. Please consider the weather conditions and provide your child with sun block/rain proof jacket.

PEDALABILITY

This fun-filled course based on the National Standard for Cycle Training Level 1 (Bikeability) develops the off road cycling skills and confidence of young children who can already cycle a little without stabilizers. We use different areas of Holmewood House grounds during the week, when weather permits, to create extra challenges and develop cycle competency.
