🎽Athletics 👟
Over the past few weeks, pupils from Years 3 to 8 have taken part in two athletics meets at Dulwich, competing against local schools including St Ronan’s, Somerhill and Dulwich.
There were some strong performances across both events and positive experiences for all involved - even with the uphill sprint on the track!
These events have been good preparation for the IAPS regionals at the Julie Rose Stadium that took place yesterday.

🏁 Greenpower race at Bedford Autodrome 🏎️
The team were up at 6am and on the road early for race day at the Bedford Autodrome. With sunny skies and strong winds, the day started with car registration and safety checks - and an unexpected electrical fault. Despite everything appearing fine, the car had no power! After a tense half hour of troubleshooting, Arthur from St. Paul’s ‘Firefly’ team stepped in with some advice. Thankfully a quick battery swap brought the car roaring back to life!
Although they joined Race 1 partway through, the team completed Race 2 in full. There was some fantastic driving from newcomers: Fernando secured the fastest lap, Jason and Jack drove strong stints, and George fought through the grid, gaining 7 places in the final minutes to finish 8th in that race!
The notorious Bedford track pothole caused a couple of spin-outs for the team and even rolled two other cars (no injuries thankfully), but they kept pushing.

🏁 11th out of 19 in Kit Cars
🏁 20th out of 31 overall (Kit & Custom)
A tough start turned into a strong finish with a great showing of perseverance, teamwork, and serious race spirit. Well done to all the team and to Mr Murray and Mr Unwin, and thanks to all the parents for their support.
