The U13A football team travelled to New Beacon on Saturday to play in a 7-aside tournament.
After narrowly losing their opening match to New Beacon they went on to win their next three matches, making it through to the semi-finals, which they won!
They faced New Beacon again in the finals, conceding first and then matching them soon after. After extra time it progressed onto penalties. After a nail biting shoot out, the goalkeeper for Holmewood House saved a penalty before stepping up to take the next one and putting it past his opposite man to win the trophy!!
A great team effort!
Our DT scholars have been hard at work supporting the upcoming production of Spongebob The Musical. Among other elements of the set, here they are putting the final touches on Gary the Snail with the construction of his wheels 🐌.
This project is a great example of the cross-curricular collaboration that happens at Holmewood. As well as set building and props, our pupils will also be contributing backstage, including lighting and sound where they are guided by a professional technician.

Bella has been an integral part of Holmewood sport over the years. She is currently 1st team Hockey Captain, 1st Team Football Captain and plays GD in the 1st Team Netball. She has also had a successful football career outside of school playing for West Kent and the London City Lionesses.
