Year 4 have completed their sequential, wordless story based on the award-winning book The Tree and the River by Aaron Becker. To do this they worked as a team to combine their rivers, backgrounds and individual detailed drawings to create this wonderful and vivid version of the story that describes the cycle of life through the rise and fall of a settlement and the relationship between nature and civilization. They collaborated really well and were thrilled with the result!

A huge thank you to senior librarian Sofia who has kindly donated to the library three large bags of wonderful books all in pristine condition. Included are lots of the popular Dog Man, Kitty Quest and InvestiGators graphic novels which will make a lot of pupils very happy!
The book binders have finished sewing together their five sections of pages and have glued mesh onto the spine to strengthen it. The books have been under heavy bricks to compress the pages whilst they dry. Next they will be take to the printer to get trimmed. They’re really beginning to look like books!
