The children have been busy enjoying lots of festive makes in the run‑up to Christmas. They have decorated pinecones with paint and glitter, created pasta wreaths, and made glittery snowflakes, all of which will be coming home in their end‑of‑term envelopes. The envelopes themselves have been specially designed by the children using Christmas sponges, adding an extra personal touch. Alongside these creative activities, we have shared plenty of Nativity stories together, helping the children to understand the meaning of Christmas and encouraging them to join in with songs and actions. Paper chains have also been a big hit, with the children working together to make colourful decorations that brighten up our classroom and bring lots of festive cheer. We are looking forward to sending home these wonderful creations as a keepsake of the children’s hard work and imagination, and we hope they bring plenty of sparkle and joy to your homes over the holidays.
