This week, Year 2 have been learning all about the Great Fire of London and why it spread so quickly back in 1666. The children discovered how wooden houses, narrow streets, and strong winds all played a part in the devastating blaze.
In English, our young historians have been stepping into the shoes of reporters. We are preparing to write our own newspaper articles about the events of the fire, learning how journalists use time connectives such as “first,” “next,” and “finally” to tell a story clearly. Year 2 Team
