Andrew Boldt 1977 – 2025
It is with great sadness that I report the passing of Old Holmewoodian Andrew Boldt [1977 – 2025.] Andrew was a Holmewoodian, a proud member of Oak House and from Holmewood House, he went on to Tonbridge School and then Durham University. He also spent a very happy year here, as a “Gappie” at Holmewood and joined the staff cricket team on tour to the Isle of Wight. Known for his sporting prowess, especially perhaps hockey and cricket, but above all, he was a superb chap. Wonderful to chat to and Simon Leegood and I often caught up with him at Lord’s for a day of cricket. He was always the very finest company. Paul Gripper, Richard Witts and Simon Leegood represented the whole school community at the Memorial service on Friday 25th April in Andover, to pass on our sincere condolences to the family. Rest in Peace “Boldty – one of Holmewood’s finest.” Paul Morgan-Jones
