Year 1 enjoyed an engaging visit from William and Ethan where they shared a fantastic presentation with us about Chinese New Year. Their stories, facts and pictures were wonderful and captivated us all. We thought they were brilliant!

Year 1 enjoyed their visit to the wonderdome today where they got to explore the solar system, find out about ‘Artemis 2027’ and the plans for the next moon landing, explore the surface of different planets and find out more about life on the ISS. It was fully immersive and a great experience for all. Emma Bonwick
🐾 Ralph, the Cavapoo 🐾
Every evening when the front door opens, Ralph races to claim his corner spot on the common room sofa. From this throne, he supervises homework, adjudicates film debates, and offers a reassuring paw to anyone missing home.
Ralph has perfected the art of being exactly where he’s needed: beside a new boarder on their first nervous night, mysteriously appearing whenever snacks are opened, or simply flopped across someone’s feet during a phone call home with parents.
One of six dogs at Holmewood, Ralph is the only one who lives in boarding, and he has learnt from the best; equal parts comfort blanket, comedy act, and professional sofa-tester.

World Holocaust Memorial Event
Today our Year 8 pupils attended presentations from two visiting speakers from Generation2Generation, Emily Cass and Anita Peleg.
These were powerful, thought provoking accounts and gave all present a chance to reflect on their moving family stories.
The talks further enriched the Year 8s studies of this period in history covered this term in Theology Philosophy Religion. The theme for Holocaust Memorial Day 2026 was `Bridging Generations`. The message is clear, that by learning from the past, we can build a more compassionate future. We thank Emily and Anita for sharing their stories and reminding us all that it is our responsibility to remember and to stand against prejudice in all its forms.
