Celebrations

We have been learning all about different celebrations this term and the past two weeks we have focused on Birthdays. The children have absolutely loved this celebration. We have been balloon batting, playing ‘Keeppie Uppie’, learning how to draw a cake and having birthday tea parties in the role play area.

The children have been using their sounds they have learnt in phonics to write a party invitation to their teddies and a party food list. We discussed when else we could use a list to help us remember things.

We learnt all about healthy and unhealthy foods this week and had two dentists come and visit us and talk to the children about how and why we need to look after our teeth and which foods are good and bad for our teeth. The children loved getting a new toothbrush and toothpaste to take home. Shannon Davidson
