Visiting Hever castle last week brought our topic learning to life! We all had the best time exploring the castle and spotting the different parts, learning about Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII, trying out some Tudor dancing and a great afternoon spent in the playpark! Introducing our Year 8 Swim Captains, Zachary and Isla, and their Deputies, Nolan and Iris.
They kicked off their leadership at the Year 3 to 8 Swimming Gala against Somerhill earlier this week that Ben Stevens summed up as: “A wonderful celebration of teamwork, enthusiasm, and school spirit. The atmosphere around the pool was electric”.
Our Year 3s took part in their first ever gala and our Year 8s were outstanding role models mentoring younger swimmers with kindness and maturity. Ben said "their leadership made a real difference on the day".
A huge well done to all our swimmers and thank you to everyone who came to cheer them on. We look forward to hearing more from our Captains over the terms ahead.
