In Year 6 English, students have been learning about Gothic Fiction, as they are reading Frankenstein this term. Mrs Moffatt’s class enjoyed writing a gothic story, trying to include gothic features and create tension in their writing. The stories were amazing and the children are very proud of their work! Well done!

🎆 The Friends of Holmewood Fireworks Night 🎇
What an incredible evening! Fireworks Night is always such a fun event when families, staff and old Holmewoodians come together, and the atmosphere this year was fantastic. Our boarding house was buzzing with excited children, and the glow stick stall was mobbed!
Huge thanks to all our volunteers, especially the Friends of Holmewood for organising another wonderful event. We’re already looking forward to the Christmas Fair on 29 November.

Holmewood’s Head Boy and Head Girl accompanied Senior Housemaster, Mr Morgan-Jones, to the Remembrance Service in Tunbridge Wells this morning. Both pupils placed Royal British Legion wreaths at the War Memorial on behalf of the whole school community - Governors, parents, teachers and pupils. It was a very moving and poignant service, and lovely to see so many Holmewood families, past and present, gathered for this special occasion.
