Reception

We have travelled across the globe to China this week, learning all about  China and their New Year celebrations which officially starts next week. We have tried to extend the children’s palette by tasting different Chinese food and eating with chopsticks which proved to be quite a challenge. We learnt about how we can manipulate shapes in the game of Tangram and enjoyed our own Chinese take away in the class. We have even tried our hand at writing Chinese numbers while making Chinese lanterns. The highlight of the week was using the Dragon masks we made and doing some Chinese dragon dancing accompanied by drummers – watch out for the social media clips🙂
