On Tuesday, 4K invited their parents into the classroom to celebrate all their hard work. The book look was a wonderful chance for them to showcase their learning, and it was great to welcome so many parents in to share the experience. The event was concluded with the parents joining their children for lunch in the dining room. Ellie King
4K made Tudor houses this week, consolidating our learning on Tudor building styles and materials. We also learnt about how the Tudors would show off how rich they were by adding chimneys, windows and tile roofs.
Using a plethora of colours, the Year 4s have enjoyed adding acrylic paints and inks to their abstract relief sculptures. Holes have been created so the friezes can be easily hung on the wall. Tom Johnson / Keith Siddle

🦔 Holmewood Hedgehogs Stay and Play 🦔
Every Friday 10.00am – 11.30am
Bring your under-4 to have fun in our Forest School every Friday morning during term time. As well as organised activities such as bread or candle making or painting pine cones, there are bridges to cross, swings and hammocks to enjoy and endless opportunities to dig, create or just explore!
If the weather isn’t great, you can retreat into the warmth of our giant Teepee with lovely log fire. These sessions are a great opportunity to meet other parents and children, all whilst being in a safe outdoors environment. Mr Lee, our skilled Forest School Lead, looks forward to welcoming you.
