Reception 16.1.26

RSS have really engaged with their topic of trains this week with many train journeys being planned and booked – even some trains with ‘more comfortable seats with cushions ‘ , according to some children. Hats, waistcoats  and ties have also been in high fashion on these journeys. The children continue to be engaged  within the classroom, with creative den building and playing games like ‘Gelato gelato’, while we have been contending with excessive rain. We are getting back into the swing of having Parents coming into the class to share their favourite stories and this week it was one of Julia Donaldson’s book read by Ariella’s Mum. Mr Parker continues to keep the children active and listening during music lessons  and they always come back after that lesson on a ‘high’.  Discussion and topic work has included work  around maps, roads and making trains with shapes.
