Nursery 9.1.26

❄️ This Week in Nursery ❄️

We have had a great first week back in Nursery and the children have settled straight back into class routines so well. They have grown up so much over the holidays and are showing increased confidence and independence.

Our theme this week was Winter, and activities were based around this. We focused on shapes, with the children enjoying making their own snowmen by cutting out and using different shapes. We also talked about appropriate clothing to wear in winter, helping the children understand how to keep warm.

We were delighted to welcome our new teacher, Mrs Bates, to the Nursery and feel very fortunate to have her as part of our team.

We also began our phonics lessons this week with Leo the Leopard, which the children enjoyed.

Next week, we will be focusing on Arctic animals and look forward to exploring them.

Warmest wishes
The Nursery Team
