This week, we have brought our learning about the Great Fire of London to a close. The children have enjoyed using iPads to play an interactive Great Fire of London game, helping them identify what evidence from the time tells us about the event. They have stepped into the role of historians, carefully selecting the most appropriate sources and evidence to answer their questions.

To deepen their understanding, we read King Charles II’s proclamation and explored how London was rebuilt after the fire. The children then used their creativity to redesign the city, planning houses made only from brick or stone and creating their own fire marks to protect properties. Year 2 Team
