Nursery has been full of energy and excitement, with so many special moments to share. We began with remembrance, visiting the quad to see the beautiful Holmewood poppy wreath. The children joined together for two minutes’ silence, thinking about all the men, women, children and animals who have served and who still serve today. It was a moving occasion, and the children showed such respect. They then painted bright poppy pictures, each one full of colour and imagination, and enjoyed exploring the guestimation jar of red objects, linking to the colour of the poppy while practising counting, estimating and comparing.
Watch Week ran throughout the week and gave families the chance to see the children in action across modern dance, ballet and our lively Boogie Babies sessions. Each class gave them the opportunity to show their rhythm, movement and confidence. Their smiles lit up the room as they danced, and the applause and encouragement from families made the whole experience even more special. Thank you for coming!
At the end of the week, we joined in with Children in Need. The children wore their own clothes and enjoyed crafts, games and plenty of laughter. It was a happy day that helped them understand the importance of caring for others.
Looking ahead, nativity rehearsals begin next week. We can already feel the excitement building, and it has been magical to hear the children singing along to the jingles and joining in the actions as they prepare for their big performance. We will share the playlist with you, along with your child’s costume letter early next week.
Apologies for the missing uniform. As a team, we have discussed this and will continue to support the children in taking care of their belongings. We will work together to help them build independence and responsibility, while ensuring they feel supported along the way.
We have lots of exciting events coming up! Shortly we will share the full list of events happening from now until the end of term, so you will have plenty of time to plan for the fun.
We hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Warm wishes, The Nursery Team.
