Last week RSS did their very first assembly about Goldilocks and the Three bears and WOW did they do us proud, they spoke so clearly and remembered all their words and generally did a super job – well done to all of you. This week we have continued with the last Fairy tale of the Enormous turnip which they loved acting out. These acting out sessions have clearly paid off. In maths we have been learning about the properties of shapes and how to make shapes with found materials in the playground, they even combined shapes to make different shapes. Witches and pumpkins found their way into the playground and they discovered that hitting golf tees into pumpkins was a super way to develop fine motor skills and eye hand coordination, needless to say a few thumbs felt the hammers too. 😊 The story of the Enormous turnip was a great way to introduce winter vegetables which we compared while weighing. Another great week before the children enjoy a well earned break for half term. Sheilagh Schweitzer
