Celebrations…
We have had a truly lovely week in Nursery to end the first half of the Autumn Term. We are so proud of how well the children have settled in, they have grown in confidence, made wonderful friendships, and embraced all the learning opportunities on offer.
Our week began with a joyful Harvest Assembly in the theatre. The children were buzzing with excitement to see their older siblings and join the whole school for an uplifting sing-song. It was such a cheery way to start the week! Following on from this, we also celebrated the colourful festival of Diwali. The children listened to the story of Rama and Sita, created their own diwa lamps, and designed beautiful Rangoli patterns and Mandalas. It was a fantastic opportunity to explore culture, creativity, and tradition. To top it off, we indulged in some yummy home-made banana cupcakes!
Thank you for attending our parent consultations. It was a pleasure to speak with you and share the fantastic progress your children have made. We truly value your support and enjoy working in partnership with you to support your child’s learning journey and development.
As we approach the October half term, we would like to wish all our Holmewood families a restful and enjoyable break. Whether you are travelling, spending time with loved ones, or simply enjoying cosy autumn days at home, we hope the time ahead is filled with fun, laughter, and memorable moments. We are very much looking forward to welcoming some of our children to the Playscheme next week, where more exciting activities await.
Nursery will reopen on Monday 3rd November, and we will begin exploring the wonder of Bonfire Night and fireworks. Believe it or not, we will also start preparing for the festive season—Christmas is just around the corner, and we cannot wait to share the magic with the children.
