Year 7

Enrichment

Two special mentions must go to Lare, Edmund and Jasper for their work in Forest School.

Lare and Edmund showed fantastic perseverance in forest school. They struggled to light their fire but never gave up. To their delight they finally did it!

Jasper showed his collaboration skills in forest school organising a team of pupils very effectively to build a shelter and light a fire in the woods. He calmly suggested ideas and helped out his fellow teammates quietly and with encouragement.

Geography

Year 7 have been out and about the school site finding out which places are the most and least weathered – through biological, mechanical and chemical weathering.

They have created hypotheses, collected data and will be analysing their results.  Conclusions will then be drawn and improvements suggested. Areas of interest have included The Mansion House, the Quad, the Walled Garden and around the Sports hall and Medical centre. Katie Seecharan
