Year 8 12.9.25

The new leadership team have met with Mrs O’Sullivan to discuss their roles and responsibilities this term.

This week, Year 8 began their exciting journey into the world of AI, exploring what it is, how it works, and the ethical issues surrounding bias and misinformation. With AI now deeply embedded in our daily lives—from social media to search engines—students kicked off the topic with a fun but challenging game: spotting whether images were AI-generated or real, and deciding if posts (even from well-known influencers and brands) were genuine or misleading. The results were fascinating, and Year 8 proved to have a sharp eye for spotting fakes—though they also discovered that identifying the truth is only going to get trickier! Peter Meier
