New to Year 7 Enrichment: STEMBOTICS
This year we introduced STEMBOTICS – an exciting blend of LEGO, engineering, problem solving, coding and, of course, competitions! Using LEGO Spike Prime, pupils designed and built a driving base powered by two motors. Once built, they coded their creations to move with precision, incorporating angles and measurements.The real challenge began on our very own five-hole mini golf course, “Brick and Putt.” Teams adapted their robots to carry a ping pong ball and navigated the tricky obstacles – with some scoring impressive holes-in-one, while others ambitiously aimed to cover all the holes in one go – although not intentionally!Next stop: LEGO Robot Wars… watch this space!
