This week saw our first Good Morning Performing and what a fantastic variety of musical talent from a diverse range of pupils from our amazing Joe in Year 3 who blew us away with some star wars on the trumpet right through the different yeargroups up to Joshua in Year 8 who sang and accompanied himself on the piano which is quite a feat for any young person. All performed with great aplomb and we look forward to next week with eager anticipation! Lydia Carter
We have had an exciting week of music with lots of extraordinary sounds, much merriment and sublime singing! Our Senior Brass Group started rehearsing yesterday along with our brand new Junior Wind Band, our Junior Brass and Symphony Orchestra rehearsed on Monday and today we had our Junior Choir and our all new Swing Band, not to mention the Choristers’ Choir which has been hard at it 4 mornings a week getting ready for a recording session later this month for an old Holmewoodian’s documentary! Sadly we have to say goodbye to two of our amazing gappies, Eva and Estelle, as they return to Australia to continue their studies.
You’ve been brilliant and we will miss you! Thank you for all your hard work over the last year and we wish you the very best for the future.

✨Christmas Extravaganza!!✨
The Christmas Extravaganza was nothing short of magical! This year’s event offered so many opportunities for our pupils to shine. From heartfelt performances to original songs written entirely by the children themselves, the evening showcased the incredible creativity and confidence that thrives in our school.
It was inspiring to see such a vast array of talent on display musicians, singers, and performers all sharing taking stage in front of a very busy audience. These moments remind us just how special our school is, and how much our pupils have to offer.
A huge thank you to all the staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event possible. Your dedication and support ensured that every child had the chance to participate and feel proud of their achievements.
Many thanks too to the Friends of Holmewood for the delicious mulled wine and festive nibbles that made the evening extra special.
