Year 6 & 7 Shakespeare Workshop with Claremont School

Year 6 and 7 were treated to a fantastic Shakespeare workshop led by drama teachers from Claremont School. The session focused on scenes from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, one of Shakespeare’s best-loved comedies.

Our pupils were paired with Claremont students in Years 9 and 10 who are currently studying drama at GCSE level. It was a brilliant opportunity to learn from older peers and explore the language, characters, and humour of the play in a fun and accessible way.

After the workshop, we were taken to the beautiful walled garden to watch the Claremont students perform the play. The performance was excellent — with engaging acting, clever staging, and lively audience interaction that brought the story to life.

A thoroughly enjoyable and for all involved!

Year 6 have been working on daily routine and enjoyed a game of sentence stealer. They had to guess which sentence was written on their post-it note and steal it from them without losing one of theirs in the process! Madame Simpson
