Boys’ House Cricket 2024/25

Year 3 & 4 Boys

The Year 3 & 4 boys enjoyed a brilliant House Cricket competition, playing with enthusiasm and showcasing the skills they have developed this term. During the preliminary rounds, Cedar beat Yew, Ash beat Beech, and Cob beat Oak. In the play-off finals, the boys demonstrated excellent teamwork and determination:

🥇 1st: Ash (won by 47 runs)
🥈 2nd: Cedar
🥉 3rd: Beech (won by 11 runs)
4th: Cob
5th: Oak (won by 40 runs)
6th: Yew

Year 5 & 6 Boys

Our Year 5 & 6 boys competed in a series of competitive house cricket matches, with strong batting, accurate bowling, and supportive team play on display. In the preliminaries, Ash beat Yew, Cob beat Cedar and Oak beat Beech. The final results were:

🥈 2nd: Ash
🥉 3rd: Oak
4th: Cedar
5th: Beech
6th: Yew

Well done to all the boys for their focus and sportsmanship throughout.


Senior Mixed House Cricket (Boys’ Senior Teams & Girls’ 1st Team Combined)

To finish the house cricket programme, the senior boys joined with the girls’ 1st team for a paired hardball cricket tournament in seeded play-offs. It was a competitive afternoon, with some excellent cricket and leadership on display:

🥇 1st: Oak (won by 9 runs vs Cedar)
🥈 2nd: Cedar
🥉 3rd: Ash (won by 4 runs vs Yew)
4th: Yew
5th: Beech (won by 26 runs)
6th: Cob

The House Cricket tournament has been a brilliant way to round off the term, with all pupils showing their improvement, teamwork, and love for the game. Congratulations to all participants for their energy and spirit throughout the competitions.
