LAMDA Showcase Performance Evening

What a wonderful evening we had on Tuesday at our LAMDA showcase performance! It was a real joy to see the confidence and skill on display as our pupils delivered the pieces they’ve been working so hard on throughout the term. Their dedication and talent truly shone on stage as we saw what a fantastic group of budding actors we have coming through the school. Adam Brackenborough

The quad fell silent this morning as the school came together for its annual Remembrance Day service.

Led by Mr Morgan-Jones, with heartfelt readings from Mrs O’Sullivan, four Pre-Prep pupils, and our Head Boy and Head Girl, we honoured all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service.

A British Royal Legion wreath was laid beneath the Oak tree, and another at the base of the Oliver Dicketts memorial tree — remembering Oliver (1979–2006), an Old Holmewoodian who gave his life while serving with NATO forces. Forever in our hearts.

We were honoured to welcome Oliver’s parents, Robert and Priscilla, and Alison and Clive Brown, whose son Tom — also an Old Holmewoodian — is currently serving in the Welsh Guards.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.
