Congratulations to Oscar J who represented Tunbridge Wells Hockey Club, playing for the under 13As in the Saffrons 6-a-side Tournament, supporting the Meningitis Research Foundation, at Eastbourne.
During the all-day-event, Tunbridge Wells faced stiff competition from five rivals, including the revered Knowle Park and East Grinstead. The boys had to run their hearts out: they were without subs (so no rest periods during the intense 6-a-side format), and some were playing two school years up (Year 6 boys playing in a Year 8 competition, facing some absolute units on the field).
Against all the odds, the Tunbridge Wells boys WON the tournament!!
