Our Week…
We have experienced an array of weather this week; fortunately the sun had its hat on just in time for our EYFS Sports Day! We are so proud of the children’s fantastic efforts and personal achievements. Thank you for coming along , it was wonderful to see our Holmewood families out in full force, cheering, clapping, and joining in the merriment.
This week, the children have also enjoyed investigating with sand and water, exploring what happens when the two are combined. Through scooping, mixing, and transferring the materials, they engaged in rich, hands-on learning, providing endless fun!
Amidst the hustle and bustle, the children prepared for Father’s Day by creating cards and sharing their favourite things about their daddies. We wish all our Holmewood Dads a wonderful Father’s Day this Sunday!
Coming up…
Transition morning: We have had the best times with your children over the year, and now they are ready to venture off on their next learning journeys. Pre-Nursery will spend time in Nursery, and Nursery will head over to Reception for their morning sessions. We will provide comfort and support to ensure they feel happy and settled in their new environments. We understand this can also be an emotional time for parents as well, please do not worry, we will be here to answer any questions or queries.

Dance watch:
Monday 16th June: Modern dance- 2.30-3.00pm
Tuesday 17th June: Ballet – 2.30-3.00pm
Friday 20th June: Boogie Babies- 2.30-3.00pm
Parents are welcome to come along and watch their child performing, which will be held in the dining hall.
Monday 16th June- Swim watch for the nursery class- parents are welcome to come along to the pool at 10.45am to watch their child.
Tuesday 17th June- 4-5pm in the Reception garden-Settling session Nursery into Reception- All current children and their parents in Nursery are invited to a settling in session on this afternoon in the Reception playground. Children in Owls will be brought across and will need to be picked up from the Reception playground please.
Wednesday 18th June- Transition morning- All morning in School. Children not transitioning to HH Reception in September will be looked after by the Nursery team.
