Many congratulations to Old Holmewoodian – Cob House – Toby Risebrow and his wife Siobhan on the safe arrival of baby Florence Iris, born on 21st May 2025.
Also, many congratulations to Old Holmewoodian – Minn Majoe – Ash House – who recently attended a Buckingham Palace Garden Party, representing the London Philharmonic Orchestra, in honour of the 45th year of Patronage of His Royal Highness the Duke of Kent. Paul Morgan-Jones
It was a real pleasure to host three wonderful Old Holmewoodians today at school. These were not just any old boys, they were of 1965 vintage, all celebrating 60 years since leaving.
It was a real joy to welcome Jonathan Glover, Phillip Addo and Chris Hunter back to Holmewood House School where they regaled their lives as boarders here, where they came from and all the fun and mischief they got up to. They spoke to our Scholarship Readiness children in morning break and then held a Q and A session with our Year 8 scholars and school leaders during lunchbreak, helping them understand how their prep days formed so much of who they are today.
We all know that the bonds of friendship formed in prep school life are eternal, and perhaps the best part of the day was seeing their faces light up with excitement when they looked through the old year books and picture archives, reminiscing about their days on the sports field and adventures in the grounds.
We look forward to seeing them again for our 80-year anniversary in September! Simon Porter
