This week’s Good Morning Performing was a real treat with a wide range of instruments from Samuel on trumpet to Vincent on cello with a beautiful original guitar composition by Henry accompanied by Mr Carter and some lovely piano playing from Fiyi and Alexander. This morning, six brave musicians from Years 7 and 8, performed in front of the school in the first ever House Solo Music Competition. A daunting task but they took it in their stride and represented their houses brilliantly.
A couple of the children were less experienced performers and had been recruited last minute, making their efforts even more impressive!
Our judges, Head Ruth O’Sullivan, Bursar Mr Laker and Head of Music Mrs Carter, will now deliberate and the winner announced in assembly on Monday. In the meantime we look forward to the soloists from Years 5 & 6, and Years 3 & 4 taking to the stage.

Congratulations to our U10s who did brilliantly well at the UKSA U10 tournament at Burgess Hill, coming 4th overall.
The boys played their hearts out and should be very proud of their performance across their 8 matches; winning 4, drawing 2 and losing 2. They were a credit to Holmewood House throughout.
