Our week…
This week in Nursery has been full of hands-on learning as we explored our holiday theme. The children immersed themselves in imaginative play by taking part in a roleplay post office, where they wrote postcards, attached stamps, and “posted” them to family and friends. The classroom was transformed into a travel shop, complete with a till and telephone, and the children used coins to solve simple problems like “How much does a ticket cost?” or “How many passengers are going on the plane?”. Over in Pre-Nursery, our younger learners enjoyed a week of sensory play. The highlight was definitely the gloop station, where children explored the fascinating texture of the mixture and experimented with pouring, squeezing, and scooping.
We were so proud of the children during our Open Morning today. They were absolutely amazing, welcoming visiting families and new children into the setting with such confidence and warmth. It was heartwarming to see them proudly sharing their much-loved things about Nursery, from their favourite activities to the spaces they love to play in. They were wonderful ambassadors for our school, and a credit to you all. We couldn’t be prouder of how they represented themselves and our Nursery today.
