Pre-Nursery & Nursery 9.5.25

The Seaside…

This week, our theme focused on the seaside and how to stay safe when visiting beach towns. The children enjoyed a variety of engaging, beach-themed and wellbeing-focused activities. Pre-Nursery had a wonderful time exploring ocean play dough, under the sea stories, and imaginative pirate play, ahoy! Nursery took part in a seaside-themed maths activity, matching numbered buckets to the correct spades, supporting number recognition and problem-solving skills. We also shared the story “How to Fill Your Bucket”, which encouraged kindness and empathy. The children discussed how we can make others feel happy by using kind words and actions to “fill their buckets.” They then created their very own, decorating them with a vibrant mix of colours and patterns, including stripes, spots, and zigzags.

Our favourite holidays…

Next week, we will be finding out about the children’s favourite holidays. The children will have the opportunity to share their special memories, whether from a UK staycation, adventurous trip abroad, or a visit to see family and friends. We will also look at the different modes of transport we use to get to these amazing destinations—trains, planes, cars, and more!

Key dates

Friday 23rd May – “World Turtle Day”. To mark this important occasion, children are welcome to come dressed in green .
