It is with great sadness that I report the passing of Mr. Beare, father of Old Holmewoodians – Freddie and Emma, both of Oak House. Our thoughts are with you all as families, at this difficult time. It was lovely to meet with Geoff Dagwell this week, who is co-ordinating a Summer event here at Homewood House, when 8 pupils who left in the Summer of 1975 will be gathering at their prep school, fifty years on from leaving aged 13. From Holmewood House, Geoff won a rugby scholarship to Millfield, before playing for Harlequins. He is good friends with well-known rugby coach Dick Best. We look forward to hosting the event in the Summer holidays, when Old Holmewoodians will be flying in from Australia, USA and Africa for the event. Paul Morgan-Jones
