Reception have been learning all about Spring, we went out in the school grounds to look for signs of Spring and collected items to make a spring crown. We also did some still life paintings of spring flowers. The children have also enjoyed learning about teen numbers in maths. RKS were superstars in their class assembly, telling the audience all the things they have learnt about Spring! Well done RKS! Katy Shelton
➗ Today we marked National Numeracy Day with a range of engaging maths activities in Pre-Prep. 🟰
Year 1 and 2 pupils worked in mixed groups and took part in a carousel of hands-on challenges, including a place value egg hunt, scoring games with hoops and beanbags, a higher-lower number game, a tower building task, and activities estimating weight and capacity.
Well done to all the children for approaching each task with focus, teamwork, and enthusiasm. A great way to celebrate the importance of numeracy in everyday learning.
