3S Explore the World of Stop Motion Animation!
This half-term, 3S has been diving into the fascinating world of stop motion animation during their computing lessons. From the classic flip-book style animations to the digital creations we enjoy today, pupils have been exploring how images can come to life. Using ‘Procreate’ on iPads, they mastered the art of frame-by-frame animation, applying techniques like ‘onion skinning,’ which lets them see previous frames as they draw new ones. Building on these skills, they transitioned to a stop motion app, animating 3D models and watching their toys spring to life! To make their stories even more engaging, they added voice recordings, creating imaginative and lively productions. Well done, 3S! Mr Meier
